Happy Tuesday!

In case you all missed it. Yesterday we dropped the first add-on to Guardians of Wayword. That add-on was being requested on Kickstarter, Facebook and had been voiced to us in real life multiple times. We delivered. Add a Neoprene Playmat for your Main Board by upping your pledge 30 dollars.

So why is it $30 USD? Well, as you will notice, we are stitching the edges to prevent fraying. Aside from that, we are 100% committed to the quality of the mat and are only printing a really small print run, unless demand rose in a massive way. 

So what else is going on?

Well, Ben and Chris have ANOTHER play through video for you fabulous people seen below.

Facing off against Rotter again in this video, the guys wanted to upload 6 to 8 videos to make sure people could see how radically different a game can feel based on the events, big bads and loadouts!

Card Previews!

We promised we would start rolling out Previews of the cards, and we wanted to start with just one. so for today, let's start with the cool promotional Champion, the Weretiger Reus. 

 So here are the detail,

• The Upper Right shows Reus costs 6 Recruit, and at least 1 of the Recruit spent needs to be Defensive, to add to your discard.
• The Right Side shows his 6 dice sides have less Recruit Sides, but very solid Attack Sides. 
• The text box shows he is a Champion Type.
• His base Power, sitting in your Loadout, is, when more than 1 of Weretiger Reus is rolled into your Dice Pool, you may draw 1.
• Below that is the power he gains if his die is 2nd or 3rd Level. This says that his die gains additional attack based on the number of different villagers you have rescued!

We hope that gives you a good impression for the way the dice will work. Expect the next Card/Dice preview to be an entire loadouts worth!!!

Until then, we will update the Social Goals, but keep sharing and telling your friends, sharing to groups and helping us make this a reality!

What an excellent start to the campaign fellow Guardians!

For this occasion, here is a 3rd Let's Play Video of Guardians from Ben and Chris (they put a lot of these together). 

Some of you have inquired about the Social Goals, and at the bottom of the update and on the main page we will be updating these images and meters for you. Before that though, we have been asked by Backer Greg in the comments what the storage for the game would be, and we want to ensure you guys we aren't just tossing all the components into baggies and the box for you. No no no that will not due. We need something.... maybe inserted into the game?

Bullet Points on this planned insert incoming!

• The sides of this Insert will have room for sleeved Cards so worry not sleevers!
• The Dice should fit in here, with the Guild Boards on top of them, as well as the rules, and be store able both vertically and horizontally without issues.
• There are a few planned spaces for tokens.
• This is dual layered so the material needs to be durable and flexible at the same time. We know this and are planning for this. 
• Each of the 5 dice should fit in single slot in the dice area.

We have also been asked by a few to share some upcoming Stretch Goal Ideas we had. So to give you guys a sneak peak of a few things, take a look at some ideas and let us know what you think is MOST exciting!

Well, that's a Tease of some things we could see later in the campaign ;) Keep up the great work getting the word out to defend Wayword and recruit more defenders for us. So let's update these Social Goal Meters and get to work on them. 

Continue sharing that campaign link via instagram and facebook and we can get to that Campaign really quick!

So keep getting people to the Kicktraq and/or moving on that Boardgamegeek Page to Fan Guardians of Wayword.

If you want previews of the Chracters specifically, we will begin doing that in the next update :D You will be able to get a better feel for the Champions, Items and Spells and how they work together. Until then, gather your weapons Guardians and we shall continue the journey!

Thank you all preemptively for joining the campaign! We cannot wait to get this thing rolling and start unveiling some Stretch Goals :D

First day down, another few weeks to go!

Well, we had a good first day and we want to thank everyone for that! While we didn't hit that card holder in the first 24 hours, don't worry, it will show up again later :D 

Since you guys have been so amazing, let's drop another Let's Play from Ben and Chris. We won't spoil this ending but this is a great play through!

So with a good first day, we wanted to also reveal the first $$$ Stretch Goal the campaign has planned below.

Currently in Guardians of Wayword, all Guilds begin the game with a Basic Guild Squire. These Squires don't really achieve a whole lot. They may help you recruit things, they may help you fight things. But for the most part they are here to lead your donkey ;)

Adding in the 5 special Squires would allow Guilds to draft Squires as well, each with their own special Level 1 Trait. Below are a list of the Traits we have to draft from;

• Draw 1.
• While in your pool, all Guild Squires have Second Chance. 
• Rescue a Villager from the Village Row.
• Gain +1 General Recruit. 
• The next die you purchase this turn gains Quick Draw.

These 5 all have been play tested extensively and add a lot of value to the game, as it then makes every Guild feel completely unique from the first roll!

We will be updating the Social Stretch Goals accordingly as well. We thank you for your participation with them and us, and we hope you see the value in the things you backers can unlock and get during the campaign.

So to explain this, there are hyperlinks on the front page for our announcement and our Instagram announcement. Share those posts and we will unlock the Campaign. The game is a complete game and tells its own story with each play. But, the Campaign is a unique way for us to tell YOU a story with these characters, this world and engage on another level. 

Here we have something really simple. Head over to kicktraq and use the Visit Page Button. By doing this you are increasing the traffic to our page by raising us on the Kicktraq Hotness levels! And the BGG one is free. If you have an account, become a fan of the game! By doing so, we will add a 3rd Guild Card for each Guild in Guardians of Wayword for everyone. These keep the same themes as the other Guild Cards, but new specifics. 

And the last one of these, we think is the easiest. Follow us on Instagram and Like us on Facebook. If 500 people did both we would be at this goal and Weretiger Reus would have 3 options of Cards to play with. Each one uses the same die, but has different costs and powers!
